"lazy-mo : taking a CatMap "
What is a normal map to 8 vertices ? Thought id switch for a few hours, this is goes for "a fast nightfiller" im sure daily-coders with a working brain can do better in only one hour but As always there is nothing to prove. So loader #156 is not an old track but a simple demonstration of normalmapping in AGK, it uses the standard normalmap shader. Temple of the cat will be "abit" more elaborate.
At night with no cars, dogs or humans about we used to go all the way around, fields and meadows. Since the supporters and their garbage pail kids arrived and some drugged up 12 year old hooligans started fucking up the place with fake testimonies and a corrupt cop to boot if you talked back they didnt go far since then. When they started working to turn the dead-end street into a bypass highway the last one didnt even go out the front anymore.
Humans , mundanes but otherwise sure are a shitstain to their environment wherever they appear.
bem ... temple of the cat is not a demo but a memento, thats gonna take months, not sure how much programming or whatever in between will happen. Actually since may 5th not sure of anything at all and dont really care anymore either.
the map really show in the top left it gives some real depth to the cornfield but its still just 8 vertices to a cube ... with some extra spec highlights even better (but thats not applied and not even available in the standard shaders AGK provides)
do have custom in the big one but thats whenever
we assume Andey Vassey doesnt mind a small slice of a free sidtune from a free game (waiting for episode 3!!!! but dont rush it ...and also i think in ep2 you shouldnt have the final key be random , it should be possible on every run to finish, not depend on a random diceroll (unless i missed something)) better to hide something in the environment even if its a standard tile acting as a pickup imo ... 2cents by 2bit lunatic)

known issues since here : none on the first day (AGK-wasm does hog the window so you cant press f5 to refresh tho)

known issues :
  • we never check anything on any kind of phone but feedback is welcome (trolls will not be fed)
  • AGK seems to hog keyboard input so F5 to refresh wont work
  • actually we spent quite some time on it and afawcs its WASM running a process - dont have the exit function so cant interrupt it - its probably possible but decided to "just refresh" b/c webdev = torture and memory leaks, even after billions and decades
  • another known issue seems to be treating these like demos and keeping at it for hours more than it should to get a pixel in place ...
